Les Verbes First, print out this worksheet for easy access. Today we shall revise verbs 1. Present tense of regular verbs 2. Present tense of irregular verbs 3. Focus on learning etre and avoir thoroughly 4. Either learn or revise using the past tense when talking in French 5. Practise with lists of verbs using avoir for past tense, then using etre with past tense How we do it We shall use study games and exercises from Quia. When you scroll to the end of these instructions you will see a list of clickable links. The Java Games have a printable list of terms used in the exercises. Print each one out and revise or learn the terms before playine the games. Play at least two types of game for each exercise. Log results eeither by printing out your results page or by noting the game and percentage marks. The games sites have a /jg/ in the URL. The quiz and the pop up may be more difficult as you may not have clues so make sure you have all the information you need before you start. Remember if you are using a past tense with etre as the auxiliary verb, the past participle (the bit that follows avoir or etre to complete the verb agrees with the subject or person performing the action. e.g. je suis alle(´) ( I went - man or boy speaking) but je suis allee (I went if a woman or girl is speaking) LASTLY: Using Word, write at least ten sentences in present or past tense, each sentence using a different verb, describing events which took place over the holidays.
