Hi Otters!
Here are the instructions for completing your flip book that were on the board.
1. Write the definition for each theme and sub-theme on the flaps.
2. Write a caption for each picture that tells what the picture is and why you chose it for that theme.
See if you can try to find some way to dress up so you can have fun pretending you are from South America and sharing insights into the country you researched. If you remember when we began the study of South America, we saw United Streaming video clips of people dressed in colorful costumes, celebrating their heritage. Depending on the climate of your country, you could wear something that shows how the people have adapted to their environment, such as wearing a hatto protect them from the sun if they are near the equator. Or, if you have any colorful scarf or hat, shirt or skirt, that's all you need to get into the spirit of the day to show how the people of your country celebrate their heritage during festivals and parades.
Since the flip books are taking longer than I had planned, we won't get to the interviews until Monday, so you won't need the costume or item of clothing until then. Please - do NOT go out and buy anything!
