Update on our next unit...We'll be reviewing the geography terms after Thanksgiving, then moving onward to our first continent - Africa! I am VERY excited to guide you our safari through the Sahara Desert, the Congo Basin, Lake Victoria, and cruise down (or is it up? Why did I say that? Figure it out!) the Nile River! We'll be making masks, beating drums, and creating a suitcase for our travels!
If you haven't already started, you need to play the Continent Games that are on a link below, Map the World, starting with Africa. They're a fun way to learn the countries, which, according to the Massachusetts State Frameworks, you need to know!
You guys have earned so many nation flags that we are beginning to run low on all the cool prizes you brought in for the treasure chest. We would all appreciate your bringing in more and you get a flag for your efforts!
Also, on this Quia site, there are review games and study strips to help you learn the terms and definitions. Use the STOP and STUDY, GOOD to GO method I taught you.
My official Help Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, but, I am available mornings and other days also. Just ask and I'll be there for you!
