Japanese Art

“ú–{‚ÌŒ|p

Japanese art developed as Japanese culture did; in isolation. Because of this, Japanese works of art have become renown for their originality in design, texture, and various other elements of art. Japanese art is delicate, simple, economical, yet complex in its own identity. Japanese art forms vary from rubber stamp making, to painting, to sculptures, and even the renown, delicate art of bonsai tree making.

This is a contemporary example of Japanese Hanko.Hanko's in Japan are used as signatures are used in Canada, America, or the rest of the western world. Many of them are very personal, and if lost, are of great difficulty to replace. Many are carved from wood, and stone, though some are being made of rubber and plastic.
