Note: Please remember that all assignments (including labs) are due at the beginning of class on the due date. Any work turned in after class has started will have a 5% deduction from your score (you may be asked to leave the room if we are discussing work that you have not completed). Any work turned in, or tests not taken without prior arrangements, more than one school-day late will receive a 0% score. Online tests, when announced in the class page, will be opened only for the time period specified.
*Demonstration on resume templates and cover letters, and portfolios.
*Complete a resume template and cover letter.
*Gather letters of recommendation from previous employers and professional acquaintances.
*Collect relevant certifications, achievement awards, proof of community involvement and documents related to the industry.
*Assemble into an attractive portfolio.
*Have portfolio critiqued at the student support center on campus.
*Participate in the discussion on interviewing skills and role play with the class on mock interviews. Points awarded for dressing properly for an interview in the industry.
**Portfolio due on day 6**
Read (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology 6th Ed.)
*Chapter 34 "Indoor Air Quality".
*Chapter 35 "Comfort and Psychrometrics".
*Complete the Review Test Questions in the lab manual and hand in by day 5.
*Test on chapters 35 and 35 on day 6.
