Course Description
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop skills needed to begin a career in building, installing, and repairing computers. During this course, students will study computer hardware, operating principles, system configuration, operating systems, and troubleshooting concepts. Hands-on laboratory exercises, computer-aided instruction, and various reference materials are used to supplement the classroom instruction. The students will participate in two field trips to study how computers are integrated into the workplace.

K. Examining Computer-Related Security, Privacy, and Ethical Issues
L. Examining All Aspects of the Industry

Grading Procedure
Students will receive a grade report every 9 weeks; however individual grade updates may be requested at any time. The following criteria will be included in determining grades:

B. Class work
C. Tests and Quizzes
D. Homework
E. Attitude
