The Spanish Lab Community is located in Breland 170 B. Come visit us there.
The purpose of the lab is to help you improve on your Spanish skills.
This semester we will offer three different types of activities in the Spanish lab that will allow you to work on those skills.
OPEN LAB (LABORATORIO ABIERTO)
Open lab is a time for you to come to the lab and receive help on your homework and other activities in MySpanishLab. When you spend time in the lab you will receive one punch on your OPEN SPANISH LAB PASSPORT for every 30 minutes you spend working on Spanish homework in the lab. TWO PUNCHES (ONE HOUR OF WORK IN THE OPEN LAB) WILL BE WORTH - 5 POINTS.
CONVERSATION CORNER (RINCÓN DE CONVERSACIÓN)
The Conversation Corner is a time for you to practice your speaking skills. When you come to the Rincón de Conversación, you will receive one punch on your RINCÓN DE CONVERSACIÓN PASSPORT for every 30 minutes you spend in the Conversation Corner. TWO PUNCHES (ONE HOUR OF WORK IN THE RINCÓN DE CONVERSACIÓN) WILL BE WORTH - 10 POINTS.
As you can see, we are hopeful that you will come and spend time practicing your Spanish in the Rincón de Conversación.
As you know on your Syllabus, there is a requirement to keep a Spanish Conversation Log and turn in 6 entries of that log. The requirement for the log is to complete between 30-60 minutes of conversation with a friend, family member, co-worker, people in the Spanish Lab, or other approved activities on campus. The Rincón de Conversación is the perfect place for you to fulfill that requirement and improve your skills.
We will strictly adhere to the schedule as far as what is available at the scheduled times.
PLEASE CHECK BACK HERE FREQUENTLY (like right before you come to the lab) because our schedule is updated on a regular basis (sometimes daily).
PLEASE NOTICE INDIVIDUAL LAB CLOSURE TIMES.
THE LAB WILL CLOSE AFTER THE SCHEDULED HOURS OF NOV. 22. THERE WILL BE NO MORE SPANISH LAB FOR FALL SEMESTER AFTER THAT TIME.

For additional conversation practice (and an opportunity for conversation log points), please attend the Mesa en español, held every Friday from 12-1PM at Nason House (across the street from Kinko's).
