Current Content of Study: Unit 1
Unit 1 Test in early March, 2012
Unit 4: Investigating Food & Nutrition
In late March through early May we will be progressing through chapters 20-25. Students are responsible to read each chapter and the learn the terms (Key Words). There will be worksheets and discussions in class. There will also be foods labs and a lab evaluation is due after each one.
There will be a unit test in May 2013. Be sure to study!
Babysitting Unit after the foods unit. (June 2013)
Read chapters 9 & 10.
Discussions and videos in class.
There will be a comprehensive assessment near the end of the course.
End of course: June 12, 2013.
Extra credit available:
1. Answer the review questions at the end of each chapter.
Use loose leaf paper and label the page number.
Use complete sentences and restate the question in your answer.
2. During the foods unit, you may cook at home. Write a short report about what you did, how it tasted, how it looked, how you cleaned up, etc. Have an adult sign it.
