Mrs. Meadows' Weekly Newsletter 16-20, 2005 We only have 2 weeks left of school, but there's quite a bit going on. The field trip will be on Wednesday. We'll be going to the Heifer Project. You're child will need a sack lunch and a water bottle. The take home calendar says that the 2nd & 3rd awards assembly is on the wrong day. It is on Monday, 23rd at 10:00 instead of Tuesday. Please be sure to note that. PTO is selling cookbooks, they are full of great recipes. If you're interested in one they are $10. Yearbooks are for sale at the bookstore for $10. Handwriting: We'll continue using cursive in our daily writing. Reading Workshop: We'll be reading about simple machines, force and motion as well as light, to prepare for science experiments Thursday. Writing: We'll continue to learn about persuasive writing. We'll practice writing to prompts this week. Math: We're going to review for our end of year test Monday, test on Tuesday and then practice multiplication and division We'll also continue multiplication through T-charts daily. Students who have met their goal will get to have ice cream on Friday. Social Sciences: We will discuss the Heifer project on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday will be our field trip and then Thursday we'll have science experiments all afternoon.
