La semaine des examens Terre Nouvelle

SVP plan to check this page daily in regards to details on les devoirs. While we will not have extensive written homework this week as we take the Terra Nova, we will focus on our phonetics both aurally and orally en français parlé. Stay tuned to Quia this week for links of interest.

A la banque ! All students wishing to apply les autocollants must turn in completed extra credit envelopes or cards in class. Attention, SVP: les autocollants will not be accepted after Wednesday, March 30. I will apply the points where they will help the most, and you will save any unused (n/a) extra credit...perhaps pour une surprise....

If you see two asterisks in any column on Edline, this symbol refers to incomplete work that has been excused -- for a short time -- due to extenuating circumstances, absence or otherwise. It does not affect the grade in any way. “**” is not a “zero” or a “100;” it is simply “pending.” On the other hand, “0” indicates no credit, like a homework assignment never brought to class. I will still accept late work on Monday, and it is to your advantage to get partial credit rather than no credit at all.

As we reach the end of the marking period, there are grades posted on Edline that I have not yet handed back to students. While this is not common practice, this will allow the opportunity to exchange extra credit points on all completed work.

For homework, LES DEVOIRS, please click the link above to "View Calendar" at the upper left of this page. For the rest of the year, your daily homework assignments will be available through that calendar as well as on the white board under DEVOIRS in class. Please pay special attention to DEVOIRS marked "DEVOIRS DUS," as that indicates the due date of an assignment you have had several days to complete.

Because of the details involved with some homework assignments, I will post at the top of this page any extra details that will help students complete homework, as well as a calendar of the due dates of all assignments. Students do not need to check this page every day, but I will indicate in class to go to this website for details on certain projects. This way students will not need to copy down all the details in their assignment pads. There is a link to the calendar on the upper left. Le diable, c'est dans les détailles !

Here is a helpful "table of contents" to facilitate organization in your binder. Feel free to download this and print as many copies as you need. This way, you can write page numbers and exercise numbers down in the front of your binder, and in you assignment pad simply write "DEVOIRS."
