Friday: Writing expressions and equations page 244 12-32 even, 37-41
Math 6:
Monday: review for chapter 6 test
Tuesday: Chapter 6 test
Wednesday: 7-2 Multiplying fractions page 275 12-34 even, 35, 38, 40
Thursday: 7-3 Multiplying mixed numbers page 278 14-38 even, 41, 44-46, 48
Friday: TAAS Practice involving adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals.
Please be aware that these lesson plans are tentative depending on whether everyone "catches on" to the lessons above. Sometimes we have to spend extra days going over a specific concept.
Reading 6:
Monday: library time
Tuesday: Review draw conclusions and go over vocabulary for the next story; worksheet on drawing conclusions and vocabulary.
Wednesday: begin next story: Time: Cleopatra's Lost Palace
Thursday: continue reading story and discuss main points; answer questions 1-5 page 214 and do the study skills: read a newspaper page 216 1-5.
Friday: TAAS Practice
Science 6:
Monday: WOS: energy resources: Geothermal energy; energy crossword puzzle
Tuesday: review for test on energy resources
Wednesday: test on energy resources
Thursday: Start unit on motion/forces: WOS
Friday: WOS: motion/forces
Science 7:
Monday: Lab cont; signs of chemical change page 245
Tuesday: Lesson 5: Classifying changes and knowing that changes occur in everyday life; do activities page 249 and 250
Wednesday: Lesson 6: Physical and chemical properties page 252; summarizing chemical changes page 256
Thursday: Lesson 7: the nature of chemicals and complete task 1 on page 260 then begin a review of proton, neutron, electron, atomic number, etc.
Friday: Lesson 8: Acids and bases: Exploration 5 activity 1 and 2 page 266
