Moving on to A Yellow Raft in Blue Water
Final--there is a link for the hero journey website I showed you in class. Make sure you are prepared for the "Christine" test on Friday, and that you are completing any homework assignments I give you that are related to the hero journey project.
You will have a full book test on Yellow Raft on Thursday. December 13.
Schedule of Events for the Final.
1.Typed complete draft of hero journey is due in class on Tuesday, December 11th for a peer edit.
2.Final copy of hero journey is due in class on Thursday, December 13.
IF you have your draft here on Tuesday, you will be eligible for a one day extension, and you may turn the
final draft in to me on Friday, Decemberdf 14.
3.The final period itself will consist of two activities.
1. Hero Journey Project--you must bring in some project through which a viewer can understand your
journey without reading your story. We will look at these during the final period.
2. In-class essay. You will be asked to compare/contrast your hero journey to those of Chris McCandless,
Huck Finn, Rayona, and Victor.
Please be careful here; there isn't time to get behind! You should plan on reading AT LEAST 15 pages a night. EVERY NIGHT! The reading schedule is posted in the calendar, and there is a copy of it in my room, and I gave you all a copy of it. There will be a reading quiz of some kind every day.
