Religion
*The children will continue to talk about what Jesus meant when he called himself the Good Shepherd, who calls His sheep by name.
*We will talk about how we are loved by God and by others.
*We will learn how love is shown through our actions and how we should always work to be more loving in our words and deeds.
*We continue our prayerful and peaceful time in the Atrium with Miss Shari.
Language Arts
*Identify initial Bb and Rr.
*Identify rebuses.
*Recognize exclamation marks and identify vowels and consonants.
*Continue to blend sounds to decode words and learn more "memory words".
*Generate questions to determine important ideas.
*Determine cause and effect.
*Continue reading our stories while focusing on reading with fluency and expression.
*Practice expressive writing: Write and dicate sentences, dictate a description.
*Practice the correct formation of the letters Aa, Cc, Gg, Dd, Oo, Ss, Ll, Ii, Tt, Ff, Ee, Hh, Uu, Bb and Rr.
Math
*Use multiple representations to show the numbers 11-19.
*Connect the numbers 11-19 to the quantities they represent.
*Continue to practice counting by 10s.
*Practice the correct formation of numbers 0-19
Social Studies/Science
*Learn about Martin Luther King Jr. and all he did to encourage fairness and peace.
*Explore the season of Winter.
*Celebrate the 100th day of Kindergarten!
*Continue to practice our Discipline with Purpose (DWP) skills, school and classroom rules.
*Continue learning about OLPH Student Learning Expectations (SLE).
