Although I'm not actively teaching this semester, please feel free to forward questions on topics or concepts that you are having difficulty understanding. I will respond with comments and illustrations as best I can.
GENERAL INFORMATION
I know that many of you have a rigorous schedule, participate in clubs, sports, and other outside activities. There are pressures you put on yourself, pressure from peers, pressure from parents, and pressure from the academic institutions you will aspire to attend. I make every effort to give you only a reasonable amount of work and plenty of advance notice on due dates. Your choice of activities and participation in extra curricular events is a personal choice. Please understand that I cannot arrange my classroom activities around those personal choices. You are responsible for checking this website regularly and completing the work posted and turning it in on time just as is expected of those students who choose not to participate or who give up the opportunity to participate in those outside activities. In addition, the nature of the material in this class requires your attendance in class. Excessive absences can spell disaster. If these requirements present potential problems to your success in this class, please be sure to discuss your concerns with me. Communication is vital and I will make every effort to accomodate unusual circumstances, but please understand that due to the nature of this class my flexibility is limited. Prepare to allocate appropriate time to the class, communicate when there are problems, and make every effort to be in class.
