Welcome to Eighth Grade P.E.
The first major unit of the year is Volleyball
In the eighth grade volleyball unit we will focus on applying the skills we have developed to gamelike situations. We will learn:
• to incorporate teamwork into all aspects of game play
• to understanding the rules governing overlapping
• to demonstrate the ability to adjust positioning and overlap on court
• to play in assigned positions on the team and use game strategy on both attack and defense.
• to consistently and effectively serve
• to understand and apply independently the majority of basic playing rules governing the game
