Arlington Heights PTA Council Achievement Scholarship applicants must have attended a District 25 school for at least 3 years, must have maintained a 3.0 GPA, and plan to attend a post-secondary school as a full- or part-time student. Criteria endeavors to recognize personal achievement in the classroom, school and community involvement, motivation, and paid and volunteer work experience. The completed application with attachments, which are available in the Counseling Office, must be postmarked by or hand-delivered by March 10, 2012.
Arlington Heights Rotary Club Vocational Scholarships are open to students preparing for vocational or technical careers obtained by a two-year program, certificate, or degree. Approximately 15 scolarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded to be used for tuition, fees, books, tools and supplies. Chicago Wolves: Tim Breslin Memorial Scholarship awards one student a semester of college tuition. Elk Grove Village Youth Committee Scholarship Award applications are available in the Counseling Office. Three $1,000 awards will be awarded to recognize high school seniors for their outstanding leadership, community participation, and service in the community. Applicants must be residents of Elk Grove Village, attending a college or trade school in the fall, and demonstrating positive leadership qualities. The Garden Club of Inverness offers one scholarship of at least $1,000 to seniors who reside in District 211 or in the area served by Barrington High School. Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, North Suburban Chapter offers two scholarships of $1,000 each. These are opn to any high school senior who will enter an accredited engineering school in 2012. Eligibility requirements include a minimum of 3.5 grade point average and a minimum test score of ACT 29. An essay of no more than 500 words should discuss your interest in engineering and the occupation you propose to pursue after graduation. Applications must be received by March 1, 2012.
Indiana University, Bloomington, IN has a variety of scholarships available to students. Students are automatically considered for Automatic Academic Scholarships when they submit all required application materials for admission by November 1. No separate application is required. These scholarships are renewable for four years of study at IU by maintaining a 3.0 GPA and range in total value from $16,000-$36,000 over four years. IU Distinction scholarships require an ACT of 30 or above and minimum GPA of 3.80 for a total value of $36,000. IU Prestige scholarships require an AT of 27 or above and a minimum GPA of 3.70 for a total value of $16,000.

United Way Northwest Suburban George Gattas Scholarship was established in memory of George Gattas, longtime volunteer in the Mount Prospect Community. As Athletic Director for Prospect High School, Mr. Gattas touched the lives of many students. As a Director and Advisory Board member for the local United Way, he worked to build a stronger community by improving the quality of life for residents in need. Three scholarship awards are avaialble: one for $3,000 and two for $1,000. Criteria includes history of community service, active participation in inter-scholastic athletics and co-curricular activities, and a resident of communities served by the Northwest Suburban United Way. University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point is part of the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP), which was established to provide qualified students with a more affordable means of attending an out-of-state institution. To participate, students must be a legal resident of Illinois and are charged tuition fees based on the Minnesota/Wisconsin tuition reciprocity agreement. Western Illinois University Commitment Scholarships are for students who submit all application materials for admission by the May 15 deadline. Students will automatically be considered for the scholarships - no separate application is required. These scholarships are renewable for up to four years if the appropriate criteria is met.
Women's Club of Inverness Scholarship Fund application forms are available in the Counseling Office. Male or female high school seniors or college students in financial need with strong academic achievement with one or both parents being residents of Districts 211 or 220 are eligible to apply. A one page essay describing a person who has had a profound impact (good or bad) on you life is required. On a separate page list all activities, awards and work experiences with dates of involvement and responsibilities. A financial statement must be completed and submitted along with two letters of recommendation and a high school transcript. Applications are due by March 7, 2012.
