The Kindergarten Intervention Program is an important early childhood program offered in Washington County. The goal is to help students achieve academic progress in the areas of phonics, language arts, reading, and writing. Kindergarten skills and objectives are reviewed and reinforced on a daily basis. This program is part of the school's program for all kindergarten children who might benefit from small group instruction based on individual developmental levels.
Kidz Place, the Title 1 Parent Resource Center, is a wonderful resource for learning games, books, computer software, etc. They also have a kindergarten packet of activities to help your child learn letters, letter sounds, rhyming words, and many other kindergarten skills. Please take advantage of the learning materials that they offer.
