Weeks of January 4 - 13
Hello, everybody!!!
We are now beginning our work on the Principles of Zoology, and beginning to gear up for what I think is an exciting semester. I hope you will find these units as interesting as I do! The first unit can be found in chapter 1 of your zoology text. Make sure that you check this site each week for any changes that may occur! Know that parents will also be able to see what is going on by viewing this site and Active Parent, as well.
At the bottom of my Quia website page is attached a pair of assignments for you to work on. One is the "Principles of Zoology Challenge Board", recognizable by its orange "activity" icon. It would behoove you to go ahead and begin working on that activity to begin studying. While the activity is presented in a basic recall format, hopefully it will lead to greater understanding of the concepts behind the information. THAT is where the real learning occurs!
The other assignment for the first chapter, is identified by a green "Quiz" icon, and will be your actual homework assignment for this chapter. It is entitled "Integrated Principles of Zoology." It is posted, and you should have completed the assignment by the day you take your test. It will be activated when you have had the chance to read the first chapter and have enough notes to get started. Your test on this unit will be sometime in the third week of the semester, most likely. Study hard!!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE MISSED CLASS, THE NOTES FOR THE UNIT ARE LOCATED IN THE LINK TO THE POWERPOINT BELOW THE LAST PICTURE ON THIS PAGE!!!!!!!

We have an exciting trip planned not for this summer, but next summer, as we will head to Australia and New Zealand. This fifteen day trip is open to anybody who wishes to go. See me for more details! You would not believe how inexpensive this once in a lifetime opportunity is!
Finally, please feel free to contact me via school email should you need any help. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME VIA FACEBOOK. YOU WILL BE IGNORED!
