Dear Students,
It's hard to believe that we are already more than halfway through the first marking period. If you were not happy with the grade you've earned at this point in the marking period, the good news is that you will still have many opportunities to change that grade before November 14th. Some upcoming assessments for periods 1,2,6, and 8 include a Lab Check, a Lab-Inherited Traits, a Quiz on Mendel and the Flower, a Notebook Check, a Test on the entire genetics unit, and homework. Some upcoming assessments for periods 4 and 5 include a Quiz on Mendel and two genetic problems on complete and incomplete dominance, a Test on the entire genetics unit, and homework. Please use the review game below on genetics to help prepare you for the vocabulary on your next quiz and test.
Extra help is available every Tuesday for those of you having any difficulty with the material or who need some advice for the Science Expo. Please don't wait until the last minute prior to a quiz or test to seek help; be proactive and get help as soon as you feel lost.
A Science Expo Reminder: periods 1,2,6, and 8 please don't forget that Science Expo Benchmark #1: Partner, Problem, and Hypothesis needs to be printed out from my webpage and filled in for Friday, October 31st, and periods 4 and 5 you should be starting Benchmark #2: Power Point of your Problem, Materials, Procedure, and Data Table Setup, which is due on November 14th.
