Welcome to the simulation phase of the Contemporary World History Project (CWHP). For the next 6-8 weeks we will be researching our issue areas, composing e-mail questions/responses to participating countries, writing our position papers and opening statements. You will be attending after school on-line conferences in your issue areas (see enclosed schedule) and working in teams to negotiate treaties and international policies at the Face to Face Conference at Cal State Long Beach, Saturday, May 19.
Because you are in teams, you will be relying on one another to do the necessary research in order to develop policy and negotiate, from Nigeria’s perspective, in each issue area.
Below is a listing of useful web sites in each issue area that may help you in your research. This is a starting place, not an exhaustive list. Your team will need to develop your own Internet Resource Guide of sites that will be used to further your research.
You will need to share information, collaborate, and be opened to “think out of the box.” Utilize each other’s abilities for the benefit of your team and the country. Remember, there is not any one of us as good as all of us put together!
