Welcome to cool reading at St.Clare Walker Middle School. The seventh graders are presently reading different novels.
Within the daily reading, the students are reviewing plot structure, conflict and conflict resolution, theme, analogy, and figurative language through the use of novels.

Two of the classes are working on literary techniques, satire and irony; the objective here is to recognize and identify the usage of satire and irony within the story line and to see its significance in everyday life. The same students are creating their own satire and irony examples through writing and detailed art work.
