Hello and Welcome to the 8th Grade!
My name is Miss Popa and I will be the 8A homeroom teacher for this school year. 8th grade students will see me throughout the school day for literature and religion. I also teach one 8th grade Algebra course as well as a 7th grade Course 2 math class.
This website will be updated regularly, giving you information on upcoming projects, assignments, and tests. I will also post any helpful links and attach any files that will assist you in staying in touch outside of school.

Algebra
Chapter 10 has been a quick one, but we will wrap up with this important section on factoring this Tuesday. Plan to take a short group test on Wednesday. We will also turn in books this week, so plan to bring those back to school!
Course 2
Chapter 9 will come to a close this week. We will finish up our tessellations section and drawings on Monday. Plan to review on Tuesday and Wednesday for Thursday's test. Friday will be the usual for Simple Solutions. We're in the final stretch. Stay strong and remain focused!
Religion
As we sadly move into our last week of school, we will take some time reflecting on what we've learned over the year as we apply it to the future ahead. Monday will be special activity for everyone! We will also say goodbye to our buddies later in the week!
Literature
Last week of Literature! We will finish up speeches Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please make sure you are ready to go on your assigned day. Remember that you will need your completed outlined backed with the speech rubric the day you present. So far, the presentations have been fantastic. Keep up the great work!
