Please attach the rubric when handing it in--and be certain to review it carefully to see if you have accomplished its goals. I'm excited to read them!
DUE MONDAY, 9/24: We'll begin class by sharing our paragraphs based on Lance Morrow's "Evil." For class: 1)Print out pictures of Dali's "melting clocks." Consider why I asked you to do this in preparation for a discussion of Woolf's To the Lighthouse. 2) Review annotations of To the Lighthouse and note powerful words, ,phrases, or passages. We'll discuss them in class.
DUE WEDNESDAY, 9/19: Annotate "Evil" for content and style (rhetorical devices, syntax, diction).
DUE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17: 1) Surf the web, looking for interesting info on the life/times of Dorian and Oscar. Print it out. Also, print out a sample of artwork from the time period. We shall share our discoveries at Lady Narborough's party on Monday. Don't forget--top hats for the gentlemen and silk hats for the ladies are welcome. 2)Start thinking about the fictional review which is due on 9/25.
