The following assignments are given on the date posted and due the following school day (unless posted differently).
Many students have run out of their supply of pencils and pens. Please ask your student if that is the case with them. Thank you.
Thursday, 2-16-12
Students will review “The Noble Experiment" completing practice page 54 in class.
Students will read and discuss “Casey at the Bat,” pages 299-302.
Students need to complete the questions on “Casey at the Bat.”
Assignment – Students need to prepare for tomorrow’s assessment on “The Noble Experiment.”
Friday, 2-17-12
Students will be given an assessment on “The Noble Experiment.”
Students will be participating in Reader’s Workshop.
Assignment – Students need to read for their book report.
Monday, 2-20-12 NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, 2-21-12:
Library Day…students will be going to the library to renew and check out books.
Students will be given an expository promt: “Jackie Robinson helped change history, In an informational essay, tell Jackie Robinson’s story.” .
Students will be watching a documentary on Jackie Robinson’s life.
Assignment – Students should begin thinking about their essay.
Wednesday, 2-22-12
Students will review the ISAT testing format.
Students will be working on their informational essay.
Assignment – Students should read for their book report.
Thursday, 2-23-12
Students will continue to review and practice the ISAT testing format.
Students will continue working on their informational essay.
Assignment – Students should be ready to write a final copy of their essay tomorrow during class.
Friday, 2-24-12
Students will be working on a final copy of their informational essay.
Assignment – Students should continue to read for their book report.
