-----------------My Narrative essay------------------------- Terry picked up the phone,"Hello, who's there?" "Hey mom it's me,Lacey." "Hello Lacey how is your vacation?" "Great. I called to tell you that I'm doing fine." "Tell me all about your time there." "Okay, but you asked for it," "Well, I love my vacation. I thimk it is great over here. There are so many ethnic groups here due to Kyrgyzstan's bordering middle-eastern countries: Tajikistan, China, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan." "It is so different here than from back home. Their government is similar to that of ours, except that they are a Republic. They definitly eat and drink unusual things. For instance they eat shurpa, which is mutton and vegetable soup with ayran, which is a yogurt like drimk. They also eat besh barmak, which is lamb and noodles with kumiss, which is fermented mare's milk. One of their strange customs is to have a minstrel called akyndar perform epics called epos." "One of Kyrgyzstan's natural resources is water, which provides electricity. they heavily depend on the hydrology power if their rivers to produce energy. Their other resources like gold, lead, zinc, and oil are mainly sold to other countries to boost their economy. The people of Kyrgyzstan make money mostly from the fact that they are livestock raisers and farmers. They produce sheep, cattle, wheat and other grains, cotton, sugar beets and tobacco." "The major types of transportation in this country are similar to that of our own, but are not as highly developed. They mainly use railways, highways, ports and harbors, and airports with unpaved runways for transportation. the price to get from San Diego to Funze, and back was really cheap. It only cost $1078.00." "Im really glad I went here for my spring vacation. I came here because I wanted to go some place different and more unique. If you want to go to a place that is not the norm, I would highly recomend Kyrgyzstan." Terry was quiet for a while then started chuckling. she said," You sure were right when you said I was asking for it. With all the silence around this place I forgot how much you talk. Well, I have to go." "Bye mom. Love you. I'll see you soon." "Love you to. Bye." P.S. jenish chokosu means victory peak, and the per capita gnp is $830
