Schöne Grüße und alles Gute für das kommende Jahr! Here is where you will find out what we are doing each day, when assignments are due, and when we will be taking quizzes and tests. Be sure to check this regularly. I update this page frequently. Please scroll beyond the assignment list and find the interactive activities. These provide a great way to study! Get a fellow German student and play some of the 2 player games!
11/4 DUE: German-American Biography Match WS (the one we began in the library 10/28) Deutsch Aktuell-2. Marco, Daniel, Zehra, Sabine. Complete WS You get your pen pals today!!!
11/6 Due: Quiz - Q-A format. You must answer in complete sentences. Review vocab on pages 39 and 63. HW: Start learning vocab on page 87. HW: Draft a letter to your penpals. Use your Wer bin ich as a framework. Write as much as you can. Use my sample letter as a guide. KEEP this sample letter as a guide for future letters.
11/9 Go over November Project rubric and expectations. November Project is due: Thursday, Dec. 3rd. Start planning now. The details for this project are on another website and the web address is: www.quia.com/pages/lafkynovember.html We will also complete the Wer bin ich WS on the back. You are responsible for learning the next six sentences. Yes- this is HW
11/11 Go over the rest of Wer bin ich. Practice sentences. HW: Study Wer bin ich in its entirety. Know it verbally and in writing. TEST: Nov 16.
11/13 Practice vocab. Sing! HW: Know all vocab pages 39 & 63 &87. Know your Wer bin ich completely. All 12 sentences. Know how to talk & write about yourself and others. This will prepare you well for your PALS tests on MOnday and Tuesday. Practice talking and writing about yourself. Study your old quizzes. Study old sentences in which you talked about yourself or others.
11/16 7th period--Report directly to computer lab room 123. You will take your first PALS speaking test. Bring two pencils. You will also take a written PALS.

11/19 FIELD TRIP TO FHS! WEAR YOUR GERMAN SHIRTS! BRING A BAG LUNCH TODAY AS YOU WILL MISS LUNCH AT SCHOOL. WE WILL EAT IN FRAU LAFKY'S ROOM DURING PT. HW: Study for Q-A quiz on Friday, Nov 20. know all Wer bin ich vocab and p. 87 vocab. Note: You are not allowed to forget vocab from 39 and 63!!
11/20 Muzzy video and ws and vocab.
11/23 More fun with basic vocab with Muzzy. Take excellent notes. Useful phrases for your project. Bring your projects with you to class. We will be going over phrasing and writing skills.
11/25 Thanksgiving vocab and puzzle done in class. Use this to work on your project.
11/26-29 ALLES GUTE ZUM ERNTEDANKFEST!!

11/30 Your project should be finished by now. Komm mit Video and WS for Kapitel 3. (Hint: Know your page 87 well!!)
12/2 Deutsch Aktuell 3. Video and WS Begin Kapitel 4 in Komm mit book. Begin by studying p. 115. You should be thrilled to know that most of this vocab we have already learned in class. It is all about school! :)
12/4 In anticipation of St Nicholas Day (the eve of Dec 5 and the day of Dec 6) you will complete a story, a quiz and a puzzle all including the vocabulary associated with this story of Nikolaus. (You will have a sub that day- please remember I expect excellent behavior!)

12/9 You will get your information on your project- which is assigned now, but NOT due until the end of the quarter. It is designed to give you time over Winter Break to watch movies. It is all about watching a movie and writing a review. It is due January 27- a Wednesday- I will stay after that day. Please give yourself an earlier due date. Do not wait until the last minute.
