Schöne Grüße und alles Gute für das kommende Jahr! Here is where you will find out what we are doing each day, when assignments are due, and when we will be taking quizzes and tests. Be sure to check this regularly. I update this page frequently. (Note for 2nd period students: Because I have you on EVEN days, the exact date may be one date off from the listing below. Please understand this and accomodate it accordingly. ) Please scroll beyond the assignment list and find the interactive activities. These provide a great way to study! Get a fellow German student and play some of the 2 player games!

These dates are VERY important as we enter the fourth quarter!
DATES TO MARK ON YOUR CALENDARS:
MAY 11&12 YOUR FINAL PALS OF THE YEAR. THIS COUNTS AS HALF OF YOUR FINAL EXAM GRADE AND YOUR FINAL EXAM COUNTS 1/5 OF YOUR GRADE FOR THE YEAR! PLEASE AVOID DENTIST APPTS, ETC ON THESE DAYS! JUNE 8 & 9 - YOUR FINAL EXAM OF GERMAN. IT IS AN EXIT EXAM FROM GERMAN 1 AND AN ENTRANCE EXAM TO GERMAN 2!
****NOTE***ALERT****WHEN LISTENING TO AUDIO FILES ON BB, IT IS IMPORTANT YOU KNOW HOW TO DOWNLOAD THESE FILES TO YOUR iPOD OR MP3 PLAYER, ETC. in order to listen to this on your iPod or any mp3 player, RIGHT CLICK on the mp3 file, save it to your "library" and sync with your player.

DATES TO MARK IN YOUR AGENDA:
4/13 Get back your quiz on Chapter 6 and do your corrections. Write out each sentence (complete sentence) correctly three times each. If you happened to mis-copy the question, you must also copy the question correctly three times each. due next class. Review questions words and form interview questions to ask a REAL GENUINE German teenager who will be visiting our class.

4/15 Due- Quiz Corrections. Begin study of modals and chore expressions. For a review of modal conjugations see p. R 18 in your book.
There is one modal missing. Here it is: dürfen = to be allowed to, (may) You know it as : Darf ich bitte Englisch sprechen? (May I please speak English?)

4/17 QUIZ on modals and chore expressions. To study the chore expressions- see chapter 7 in Komm mit! Begin study of giving and getting directions in town. Complete directions packet for HW
Review with the games below. Set up practice times for your review for the upcoming final. It is a good time to start spending time NOW every evening.
4/20 Go over completed packet. Keep the corrected packet. We will form teams and complete directions to send the other teams on a "Schatzsuche." (Treasure hunt.) Choose your teams wisely.
4/22 Finish up your directions - have Frau Lafky check them for accuracy, spelling and grammar. Make your signs.
4/24 Turn in your completed signs to Frau Lafky. Deutsch Aktuell 6. See video and complete packet.
4/27 & 28 Schatzsuche! Compete with your team by first placing your signs well and then following the directions of another team. You will be timed. You will only be allowed to speak to one another in German! Form your grammar review groups. Choose wisely! This group project is worth 100 pts!!The rubric for this group project will be posted on Blackboard under "assignments" and then under "handouts."
4/29 & 30 PALS discussion and practice in evaluating PALS. Continue in groups for review. You will also receive a FINAL EXAM STUDY GUIDE REVIEW SENTENCE TRANSLATION PACKET. Complete this on your own time. Leave no blanks. Come to pride time with questions. If you come to the Final review sessions on May 27 & June 3rd- you will get the correct answers. Read these sentences over and over to yourself every night. These sentences will cover all the vocab and all the grammar you need for your final exam. Treat this seriously!
5/1 Music field trip. Those left behind will continue on the group plan.
5/4 Group work on Final project.
5/6 DUE!!Turn in your story and your grammar lesson plan for review
5/8 Correct anything and make your quiz ready for xeroxing.

5/25 MEMORIAL DAY. RELAX OVER THE WEEKEND. START STUDYING AGAIN ON MONDAY. BE PREPARED AND ALERT ON TUESDAY!
