Homeroom language arts activities are from 8:30 - 9:10 each day. These activities are planned to reinforce skills being taught in the grade-level skills groups. Morning activities include: journal writing, handwriting lessons, speaking/listening activities, buddy reading, reader's theater, daily language reveiw, and conferencing with Mrs. Boyd.
During this time our kindergarten friends are encouraged to write in their journals. Journal writing for a kindergarten buddy may include: writing name, writing alphabet, writing numbers, drawing, etc. Upon completion the kindergarten students are allow to participate in free choice activities.
