WELCOME TO OUR CLASS!
Some important reminders:
February 10, 2012: No School for students, teacher in-service
February 14, 2012: PTA program 6:30--2nd grade will perform
Here are a few things that you may find helpful:
Mystery readers: Spring semester dates for sign ups went home the first week of January. If you're interested, or a family member is interested, in reading, please let me know which date you want! Thanks!!
Related Arts: We're currently scheduled to go to P.E. on Mondays, so children will need to wear tennis shoes. Our Library day is on Thursdays, so you'll want to make sure that your child turns his or her book in each Thursday in order to get new books.
Homework this week:
1. Do three spelling activities from the list provided. (Test Friday)
2. Have students read the reading story twice and at least 20 minutes from their chapter books (fill in reading logs).
3. Do the reading skill activity
4. Do the math skill activity.
Basic things to Remember:
Please make sure that your child arrives at school ON TIME!! They should be in their seats and ready to go when the 8:15 bell rings. It's best if you aim to have them to the school BEFORE 8:15, so that they have plenty of time to get to the room, unpack, and feel ready to start the day.
If your child's transportation schedule changes, even if just for one day, PLEASE send a note!
Make sure that you are checking your child's blue folder everyday!
