News for the week of October 29,2012
Reading- We will read and discuss the story titled"Werewolves Don't Go to Summer Camp", a Bailey School Kids chapter book, for the next couple of weeks. We will use our literature logs to respond to our daily reading.HW- Choose a mystery chapter book from our library or one from home to begin the next project . More details coming soon.
Math-We will work on elapsed time and multiplication facts, Ch 6 in textbook.
HW -PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY BEGIN PRACTICING FACTS DAILY THROUGH 12"s. We will focus on 2 fact groups per week.This week we will work on 7's, 8's and 9's.I will be administering timed quizzes throughout the year .We also complete constructive response math problems daily in our math journals.Ck.assignment books for HW.
English-We will learn antonyms(opposites), synonyms(same)and root words.
Spelling- Work on spelling paragraph titled"The President".Test Friday.
Science-We will continue the unit about environments.
