Reading- We will complete reading the chapter book this week titled"Number the Stars". This is one of the favorites chosen each year by fourth graders!Our SPIs(State Performance Indicators) for the week are;context clues/determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.HW-No WS this week- read 30 min daily.
ENGLISH-SPIs for the week will be :Recognizing usage errors occurring within the text;correcting paragraphs.We will work on editing skills by writing a spelling paragraph about
" Early Tennessee History."Please see that your child practices writing at least 2 sentences per night by dictating the sentences to them slowly! Have them practice using cursive handwriting and practice spelling words that they are not sure how to spell.This is such a wonderful skill to prepare them for future writing and note taking skills.
Math/Science- Please continue to review ALL multiplication and division facts throughout the year.Check Mrs.Webb's Quia for HW and test dates.
