Things that you can count on in a normal language arts week: (Please note that these are not the only items that will be on our agenda for these days. The rest of the tasks will vary from week to week.)
Monday:
-New vocabulary
-Story preview and introduction
-Receive new spelling packet
Tuesday:
-Visit the library
-Read part one of the weekly story
Wednesday:
-Two weekly journals are due. One must be the topic that everybody is completing, and the second journal may be the journalist's choice. If the journalist can not come up with a topic, an optional journal topic is always available.
-Receive new journal topics
-Read part two of the weekly story
Thursday:
-Story quiz over the story that we read for the week
Friday:
-Spelling packets are due
-Spelling test
