The Incredible Edible Cell Project Counts as a TEST Grade Due Dates ODD -Tuesday 11/26 Even-Wednesday 11/27 The purpose of the project is to use the information you have gained in your study of the cell to construct an edible cell model that displays the parts in the list below: cell wall cell membrane nucleus nuclear envelope nucleolus ribosomes cytoplasm chloroplast leucoplast lysosomes centrioles vacuoles endoplasmic reticulum - rough or smooth USE ONLY 1 mitochondria golgi apparatus transport vesicles chromosomes microtubules Guidelines 1. You must shown at least 12 cell organelles. Use a toothpick to label your parts. Type the name on a small piece of paper and tape the paper to the top of the toothpick. I will remove all toothpicks that resemble the correct cell part and count for a total of 12. Yes, you can eat your project once you receive your grade. 2. Each part must be made with a different type of food. Find a food that looks like the cell organelle, or shape and cut a piece of food to form the shape of one of the cell parts. 3. Frosting can only be used once. 4. Make a plant or an animal cell. Get the shape correct and include the correct parts. 5. You can drop off your project in my room in the morning but make sure it is tightly wrapped. We have lots of ants! Bring eating utensils and paper goods to share your food. NO KNIVES!
