Chapter 28 Translation. It was early in the day. Aurelia was sitting in the bedroom. Two slave-women were taking care of her hair, of whom one one was holding the mirror, and the other one was combing her hair. Phrygia, who carelessly combed the hair, was annoying the mistress; Syria, because her hands were trembling, was not holding the mirror well. Therefore Aurelia, carelessly annoyed by them, suddenly said, "How are you so careless!" She yells, "Go away! Go away! Call Cornelia! I wish to take her to the city with me." The slave-women immediatly went out. Soon Cornelia entered the room, "Why did you call me mother?" Aurelia responded, "Your father's friends, which, among whom are distinguished senators, I did invite to dinner today. The servant bought a pig, but i still wish to go to a certian merchant whose shop is not far off in the distance, for doormouses are very good. If you wish to go with me, wait for me in the hall. Meanwhile slaves order sedan chairs to be carried to the door.
