Class activities will include a quiz over each chapter and critical thinking activities, debates and other activities Syllabus 1 Semester - ***"We The People" Unit 1 - Philosophical and Historical Foundations of the American Political System Unit 2 - Creation of the Constitution Unit 3- Changes in the Constitution that further the ideals contained in the Declaration of Independence Unit 4 - Values and Principles of the Constitution in Shaping the American Institutions and Practices Unit 5 - Bill of Rights Protections Unit 6 - Ameriacn Cosntitutional Democracy in the 21st Century Activities -daily lessons - Worksheets are due with each lesson -quizzes over vocabulary and reading - tests at the end of each unit - authentic assessment - mock hearing - debate States Test The student will take the state test each Friday until it has been passed with 100% accuracy. Each week that the student is unable to pass the test, the grade will drop 2 points. (50 points total)
