LVA-Verizon Family Literacy & Technology Project Learning Disabilities WebQuest ***INTRODUCTION For many years, adult literacy programs have recognized that learning disabilities (LD) are among the major issues faced by adult literacy students. According to Mary Ann Corey, from Loyola University, "a common professional development need identified by literacy providers is the need for more information about LD and about effective instructional practices."
