Culminating Question
If you could visit any country in Africa, where would you go?
Project
Imagine our class is going on a trip to Africa next week. You may choose the country we go to and what we do. Where will we sleep? What do we need to pack? What places would you like to see? How will we communicate? What kind of clothes will we need? What will you need to do to prepare?
Each student will develop a written itinerary including what city and country he will travel to, five things he plans to do while in Africa, a packing list, and a list of things to do in order to prepare to go.
Assessment
After completing the project we will take a virtual field trip to Africa as a class. Each student will prepare a presentation for the class describing his itinerary, what his favorite part of the trip was, and what he learned.

2 · The oral presentation indicates a satisfactory understanding of the subject and the elements in the setting.
3 · The oral presentation provides few facts about the subject and the elements in the setting.
