Week of November 12th
For the next three weeks, students will be doing a reading workshop. Students will pick their own books to read and will write reflections about their reading each day. By November 30, students must finish their books, write 10 reflections, do 20 vocabulary words, and complete a final project.
In English, we are continuing Writing Workshop. Students are working on focusing their topics and creating interesting leads. We're focusing on the use of rubrics to grade student writing.
In Social Studies, we are working on our Ancient Egypt Unit. Students will be participating in a new Web Quest (see link below) as well as classroom activities.

Spelling 5x each
finish bio poem rough draft
Social Studies: None
** Please note that Friday cards will be sent home every week to let you know how your child did that week. Students who receive an orange card must have it signed.
