Test and Quizes
Students have a Math test on Tuesday and a Spelling test on Friday. There will not be a challenge list for spelling this week. Our spelling list is Halloween words.
Academics
This week in Language Arts we are focusing on writing instructions. In Math we have finished Chapter 2. The test will be on Tuesday. Following the test we will begin chapeter 3. We are going to try something new this quarter. Social Studies, Science, and Health will be alternated in longer segments this quarter. We will start with Science. Our focus in Science will be plant life cycles.
Expected Homework
I will be sending home a homework packet every Monday. This packet willl not be due until Thursdays. We are going try sending home work this way so students can focus on the required pages over a longer period of time. some students are having trouble handing in daily homework.
BOOK IT GOAL FOR ALL OF THIS MONTH IS 60 MINUTES A WEEK! BOOK IT FORM SHOULD BE TURNED IN NEXT MONDAY FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER.
All students should be reading independently for 15-20 minutes EVERY night
If your child does not finish class work he/she may have additional homework.
I WILL BE OUT OF THE BUILDING ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY BUT I WILL STILL BE HERE FOR CONFERENCES ON THURSDAY EVENING.
