Follow these directions in the computer lab as assigned

Studying the Living Brain
  • Required: Open the first link below (Studying the Living Brain) and complete the Studying the Living Brain worksheet:
    • Print a copy if it has not already been provided.
    • Visit sites #2-4 to find information to complete columns 1 & 2.
    • Use your own brain (and some examples on sites #5-7) to complete column 3.
  • If time: Visit site #1 to learn more about the motor cortex and Nobel-prize winning research on the brain.
  • If time:Visit site #11 to learn more about Phineas Gage.
  • If time: Visit site #8 to compare the human brain with other animals.
Male or Female Brain?
  • Open the second link below (Male-Female Brain Sex ID Test) and take the Sex ID Test. Record your progress and reflection in the worksheet
  • Open the third link below (Gender & the Brain) to read more about male-female brain differences. In your notes, create a T-chart summarizing what you know about male & female brains.
Review Use the review activities below and on link four (More Brain Review Activities) to practice what you have learned about the brain so far.
