Culminating Activity
Situation : You will have to go back in time and select two individuals who were involved in the Civil War. (i.e. soldiers, slave, abolitionist, plantation owner, women, indentured servant) You will need to describe, write, and illustrate what their lives were like before, during and after the Civil War.
Challenge: Project can be a poster project, research report, oral presentation.
Role: You will need to take on the role of a Northerner and a Southerner.
Audience: Your teacher/classmates.
Product: This project will need to be written in the first person. You can include:
1. Family pictures, personal journals, and or fictional narrative accounts.
2. You will need to focus on what you did for a living before the war, what job you had during the war, and how your life changed after the war?
Your project will need to include perspectives from the North and the South.
