My news group has decided to write on local sports, so there is easy access to home-games. I was assigned the Maryland Terps mens basketball team. I'll be writing on the team's interactions, the coaches, their faults and victories, and about the score overall.

What i know about the Terps

Juan Dixons parents both died of AIDS and he lived with star Georgetown point gurad Kevin Braswell who played eachother last year in the sweet 16 of the NCAA tourney. Steve Blake looks odd and Garty Williams looks like a rat. Or splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The team is not that good because they almost lost to N.C. state. The ACC is a very tough conference so the Terps look to have a tough year. DUKE IS NUMBER 1 IN THE NATION!!!!!!

Maryland Terps
The Maryland men's basketball team is having an intense season, holding an overall record of sixteen wins and three losses. Ranking at number three in Men's college basketball and top in the ACC (Atlantic Coast conference), the Terps have a lot to put on the line. Maryland's loss to Duke was a set back on the season, but won't hold them back from being in stride with Duke in the ACC. Gary Williams has had a big affect on the team since he came three years ago.
The Atlantic Coast Conference is played with the top seven teams as they compete till there is one team standing. Maryland holds a top ranking position along with Duke. If they win their next game against the number five team, Virginia, then they will remain standing in stride with Duke. When asked what the expectations were for the remaining of the ACC, Dave Dickerson (assistant coach of Maryland Mens' baketball) had much to say. "I've always enjoyed games where you realize you are playing against a really good team and you know you are going to have to work really hard if you expect to win... Duke is a great competion for our team and i guess we will just have to see what happens, and may the best team win.." Even a boy who was not a fan of the Terps agreed that Duke vs. Maryland games are always great to watch.
There were a lot of high expectations for Maryland when they played Duke, it was hard to say who was going to win as both teams have an equal ammount of potential. When Duke hosted Maryland two weeks ago it was a tight game between the players. Fan Mike Bammit replied to the loos to Duke, "The loss to Duke was a setback, but when we play Duke again at home, i think we have a greater advantage and a greater chance at winning." Since the loss at Duke Maryland has had consecutive wins over Clemson, Wake Forest, and Florida State. A win to Virginia will make Maryland in sync with Duke at the top of the charts of the ACC.
Juan Dixon has been a key player for the Maryland men's basketball team this year. His coaches and team mates speak of him as "fearless.." Dixon was only the second terp to earn a ACC first team honors in back-to-back seasons. When asked about Juan, Dave Dickerson didn't know where to start. " When it comes to big games, the opposing team always has their players out to stop Juan from shooting, but unlike most players Juan isn't afraid to take that three point shot, he just wants the ball," said dickerson of Dixon. Juan scored 25 points in the defeat of Florida state, making him the first player in ACC history to register 1,800 points and 300 steals in a career.
Maryland alum, Gary Williams is entering his 13th season as head coach of his alma mater. Coach Williams has transformed the Maryland basketball program into one of the nation's best. Leading his team to the final four last season, and finishing them out to third place this season. Williams is the 27th-winningest active coach in America with 449 wins. When a fan was asked what he thought of Williams he said, " I think coach Williams is one of the best coaches out there and brings a lot of credibility to the program at Maryland." When interviewing a man who was not a fan of the Terps he said, " Gary Williams is no doubt a fine coach, but the Terps have a weakness at away games."
College basketball will continue to take its' twists and turns and stadiums will continue to fill with fans. Maryland basketball will keep filling the seats in Cole Field House, and maybe the next time we see Duke at Maryland, the Terps will have a better chance.

Restaurant Review
There are many fancy restaurants and even more fast- food restaurants, whats in between is the Bubble Room. The Bubble Room is a small town, standout restaurant that is a virgin to the dining world yet has held great success since it's grand opening last year. It attracts diverse crowds to it's unique environment, it's an antique shop, hollywood, and the 1940's-60's all rolled into one. There is much to look forward to for the Bubble Room in the years to come.
The Bubble Room is an American-cuisine with a twist. This restaurant serves American food a la Bubble Room along with tropical drinks. " The food is of great quality and brings you back time and again," said customer Kaz Moreno. There is something for anyone on their lunch and dinner menus. Each menu contains low-priced, delicious simple foods with amusing names. Among the favorites are the Bubble Room's specialty desserts.
The restaurant most definitely stands out among the others. It's outrageous decor consists of Christmas decor, nostalgia, antiques and Hollywood memorabilia. As if walking into a museum, you will find eye-catching stuff from the 1940's, 50's and 60's. Toy Trains run above along the ceilings while over 2,000 glossies and movie stills overpopulate the wall. Perhaps the reason it is called the Bubble Room is on account of how the glossy pink paint on the outside and the on screen or stage legends on the walls inside make you feel rejuvinated and smile.
Located on Captiva Island, Florida the Bubble Room has been open a mere year. Though opened for so little time, the restaurant has managed to become very succesfull. The Bubble Room has shaped into an award-winning, loved and famous restaurant. Manager Ron at the Bubble Room said, "We focus very much on our interactions with the customers, the biggest reward is watching a customer walk out of our door with a smile on our face." The retro restaurant is looking into becoming a chain restaurant.
Waitors and waitresses at the Bubble Room pride in being friendly and interacting with their customers. The waitors' attire consists of safari outfits and funky hats. This is a part of letting the customers kick back and relax, because no matter how bad you think you look, there is no way you could look goofier than these guys. " This is the funnest job i've found, you're uniforms are fun, and you meet people everyday," said a waitor, Kevin Moore at the Bubble Room.
The food can be delicate and fancy, or smokey and laid back. Whatever the food you order you can expect a low bill though. People often dine at the Bubble Room at lunch time, but many come at dinner time. " Not only does the food keep you coming back, but so do the prices. i bought me and the girls lunch for a low budget price," said customer, Moreno.
The Bubble Room Eporium is a gift shop located right next to the restautant. It contains Bubble Room memorabilia and zany gifts for others. The Eporium is also outrageously designed, resembling a circus or a museum. Once customers finish dining, it is part of the package to take a peek inside the beautiful gift shop.
This restaurant is recomended for anyone, take the family for lunch or go out with your friends at night. What ever the time, the customers can expect a fun and new experience at the Bubble Room. Three customers interviewed all said they would rate the Bubble Room with three thumbs up.
