Dragon Ball Z is the masterful creation of Akira Toriyama, Japan's most famous and popular animation artist. Dragon Ball Z is the story of Goku, innocent young boy with incedible powers who is plunged into a mystical adventure that is played out in exotic lands with noble warriors, shape changing monsters, armies of ruthless villians and a kooky old wise man. Saddled with a loud, pushy, teenage girl-companion named Bulma who thinks nagging is something that just has to be done, Goku is thrust wide-eyed into a place where magical powers and futuristic technology exists side by side. Dragon Ball Z is the inescapable battle of good versus evil, right versus wrong and pure heart versus empty souls. It's the continuing saga of the quest for fervent dreams, the realization of secret innermost wishes and the insatiable hunger for a ham sandwich.Dragon Ball Z follows the exploits of Goku, a powerful Super-Saiyan warrior originally sent to destroy Earth. Goku forgets his true purpose and instead becomes Earth's defender. The story begins as Goku's brother Raditz arrives to finish his job, setting in motion a chain of events that will involve every great warrior on two planets and almost destroyt the universe. Other defenders of Earth include: Goku's one-time enemy Piccolo, a warrior from planet Namek, Vegeta, another Super-Saiyan, and Goku's son Gohan, perhaps the most powerful of them all. The name of the series Dragon Ball Z, refers to the seven mystical balls that when brought together give the possesorthe power to summon the Enterbal Dragon. Once the dragon arrives, whoever brought the balls together is granted one wish-any wish within the dragons powers. Once this wish is granted, the balls are scattered to the corners of the planet to be gathered up once more. Goku spends much of his time keeping the balls from the wronge hands. As the world's strongest warrior, he is destined to protect our world, and frequently risks his life to do just that. And thats only the tip of the iceburg. Welcome to the world of Dragon Ball Z!!!
Gohan, Goku and Chi-Chi's four-year-old son, was named after his adoptive grandfather. Physically, he resembles a young Goku, right down to his tail and his propensity to become a raging Giant Monkey when he looks at a full moon. Spiritually, he is good and pure of heart. Because of his protective mother, Gohan begins life as something of a wimp, but when the Earth is threatned, he reveals his tremendous potential as a fighter. In one instance, he uncontrollably "powers up" in order to rescue his father from a desperate situation. Sonn Gohan is forced into training in preperation for the eminent arrival of the evil Saiyans. As a result, he becomes a formidable fighter in his own right under the guidance of Piccolo. Gohan first masters survival training. He is abonded for six months in the wilderness, where he must battle hunger, scorpions, saber tigers and dinasours, amoung other things. Next comes intense fighting against Piccolo to train Gohan in the art of war. His mission: "to kill the Saiyans and save Earth." Gohan learns many lessons under Piccolo, such as "don't see the enemy, feel him." Their special bond results in Piccolo stepping in front of Nappa's mighty blast to save Gohan's life. Initially caught between "wimp" and "warrior," Gohan's loss of nerve in battle against the Saiyans cost his friends dearly. Haunted by his failure, he is determined to make up for his cowardice. This determination leads Gohan to Planet Namek, where he searches for the source of the original Dragonball so that he can wish his friends back to life. In the end, Gohan comes through in the final bnattle as he looks at the moon, turns into a Giant Monkey and lunges toward Vegeta, causing him to flee. Gohan's power when initally kidnapped and placed in the spaceship is 710. It jumps to 1,307 when he sees Goku hurt, then to 28,000 when he goes to fight after Piccolo is injured. His tremendous power is credited to his unique makeup, which makes him a stronger being.
Goku is the hero of Dragonball Z, a good-natured and trusting soul. He is also the most powerful warrior on Earth and the first Super Saiyan in over 1,000 years. Having honed his skills and strengthened his spirit to a level never achieved by any being on Earth, Goku is able to fly, shoot energy beams from his hands, move at incrediable speeds and, in a pinch, power up to a fighting level so high that it ceates an aura around his body. Goku hasb't learned these skills just for fun: his life is forced down this path as he battles the evil Sayians in the final battle to save Earth. When the Saiyans arrive it is a total shock in more ways than one. Not only does Goku meet his deadliest for ever, but he learns the mysterious secret of his own past: he is a Saiyan formerly named Kakarot who was sent to destroy Earth. Goku's destiny is altered, however, when he is dicovered in the wilids as an infant and raised by a peacful wise man. A near-fatal head injury, scrambles Goku's programming. Instead of growing up to become a destructive super-warrior, he becomes innocent and pure of heart, fighting only for good. Goku is very protective of his family and friends and is always there to help them. If he has a weakness, it is his trusting nature. Goku is always looking for the good in people and can often find it were others do not. This costs him dearly when he believes that the Saiyan named Raditz has turned away from evil. Goku later pays the ultimate sacrifice to fid the Earth of Raditz. Fortunately for our hero and for Earth, it's not the end of Goku. He is taken to the Upper World to train under King Kai in preperation for the coming of two even stronger Saiyans. The Dragonballs will summon him when Saiyans approach Earth. Goku has many powerful fighting techniques including the powerful Kamehameha wave and the Kaio-Ken, which he learns from King Kai. His most powerful weapon is an immensly powerful energy ball called the Spirit Bomb. This ball can be used only once and must be guided carefully, for it can destroy the planet if used inappropriately. Goku's power level changes rapidly, rising from a 300 level in the early episodes to 5,000 after traing with King Kai, to 8,000 when he is angry and to 21,000 when doing the famous Triple Kaio-Ken. And all of this is before his Super Saiyan stage. To further aid him, Goku still has the famous Nimbus Cloud and Power Pole.
Once Goku's arch enemy, Piccolo is the second strongest being on Earth. He wears an extremely heavy cape that constantly trains his muscles. He is renowned for hgis powerful energy blasts as well as his ability to split into seperate entities. Green like a lizardm Piccolo has the ability to regenerate limbs lost in battle, a capability that has come in handy more than once. Originally from the faraway planet Namek, Piccolo begins battling Goku to rule the world. When the Saiyans arrive, however, Piccolo joins forces with Goku to defeat a greater evil. At first their alliance is uneasy, but as the story progresses their bond grows stronger. Piccolo trains Goku's son, Gohan, for the upcoming battle against the Saiyans. Piccolo is unsure of his own motivations in assisting his onetime enemy and helping to raise his son. Gohan sees the good withing Piccolo and their relationship brings this good out in him. In the showdown with Vegeta and Nappa, Piccolo saves Gohans's life by jumping in front of an energy blast.
Vegeta is the most powerful and feared of all the Saiyans. He bears the name of the name of the planet from which he hails. Cunning, ruthless and cruel in battle, he enjoys toying with those helpless creatures who dare oppose him. He is a "Super Ellist," the highest class of Saiyans, and believes he and Nappa can conquer Earth in three days. As the mightiest Saiyan warrior, Vegeta has no tolerance for failure. In fact, he has eliminated his own men for showing weakness. After Nappa fails to defeat Goku, for instance, Vegeta mercilessly gets rid of him. Like all Saiyans who still possess their tails, Vegeta metamorphosesinto a Giant Monkey when he sees a full moon, increasing his strength tenfold. This is when a Saiyan is at his fullest potential. Arrogant to a fault, Vegeta hates the thought of being weaker than any other creature. Due to this fear he is constantly training and searching for the extra edge that will keep him on top. Vegeta is even more intent on destroying Gohan, for he realizes that the combination of human and Saiyan is stronger than human or Saiyan alone. Physically smaller than Goku, Veget has wild black hair that is pushed back by a receding hairline. Nevertheless, he can power up to unbelievable levels and destroy entire planets. When he gathers the Dragonballs his wish is simple: immortlity. While exceeding Goku in both strength and technique, Vegeta does not win the battle for Earth. He makes the mistake of creating a moon to experience the tenfold increase in strength associated with the Giant Monkey metamorphosis. Gohan, however, also sees the moon and subsequently transforms into a Giant Monket, too. When Yarjirobe sneaks up behind Vegeta and cuts off his tail, stopping the metamorohosis, Gohan takes the upper hand. Vegeta flees Earth. His flight would have been stopped and Vegeta killed except for Goku's intervrntios.
As a young boy, Krillin studied martial arts with Goku under Master Roshi. Originally he and Goku were fierce rivals, but now they've become the best of friends. Krillin realizes that the Power of Light is very strong within Goku and holds him in very high respect. A short, bald warrior, Krillin provides comic reliefe in tense situations as he tries to keep up with Goku and the other powerful warriors. But don't get the idea that he's a helpless buffoon. A good fighter on his own accord, Krillin is always there to help Goku. He has saved the lives of his friends onmore than one occasion, In fact, Krillin can unleash an increadibly powerful energy blast shaped like a flying disc that litteraly slices through mountops. Krillin is incredibly dedicated to his friends, especially Goku, and holds friendship in high regard. He is willing to fight against the Saibaimen and Saiyans even though he knows that he can never be brought back to life by the Dragonballs. Gohu constantlly encourages Krillin to have confidence in his own abiulities. For an Earthling, Krillin learns to become a remarkable fighter.
Bulma was once a mixed-up teenager with blue hair, a pink outfit and a personality quirk that wouldn't allow her to stop talking for a second. She was immature, emotional, self-centered, impatiant, argumentive, boy-crazy and given to fits of hysterics. Now she's blossomed into a mixed-up women. She may have a new hairstyle and outfit, but she still has that same personality quirk. For that matter, she's also still emotinal, self-centered, imatiant, argumenative and given to fits of hysterics. Fortunately, she's also incredibly talented and determined. She will do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and she won't let anything stand in her way -- not mountains, not alien invaders, not even pride. As a mechanical genius who can operate and fix anything, Bulma is very important to the team. She discovers the capabilities of the Saitan Scouter and inhances it for their use. It enables her to save the day more than once for the rest of our heros. Still, the team concept dosn't always sink in and her independence sometimes files in the face of her friends' aspirations to work together.
An acient and wise master of martial arts, Roshi has accumulated great power and knowledge. His is very old, completly bald and has a long, white beard. Because he has lived for countless years on a desserted island with only a turtle for companionship, his is also called the "Hermit Turtle." He's also called quirky, a kook, and a smelly old codger. His home, the Kame house, continues to serves as a gathering place for the good guys. Althogh he may appear strange, frail and harmless, Master Roshi is indeed a great warrrior. He orginally trained Goku and Krillin when they were young boys and taught them the "Kamehameha" a power that is channled through the hands, creating a wave of tremendous power that can destroy mountains. The first Earthling to ever understand how to nurture and control the Power of Light, Rosji trains Goku and Krillin in it's use.
Haughtly, malicious, seemingly invincible and power-hungry with absolutly no compassion. Frieza is feared as the most powerful and evil being in the Universe with no rival being even close to his strength. Upon learning about the legendary Namekian Dragonballs, Frieza is consumed with a desire to obtain the Dragonballs, summon the Dragon, and gain his wish for immortality. Then he can rule the entire universe, unrivled, forever. Understanding the capability of the Saiyans as fighters, he eliminates their planet to destroy the compition. In his search for the Dragonballs on Namek, he ruthlessly and predictably eliminates all who get in his was. The very mention of his name strikes dread and fear across the universe. Zarbon and Dodoria are Frieza'a two evil right hand men. They carry out his requests promptly and without question, knowing Frieza's character too well. Frieza also employs the legendary Ginyu Force to take care of his buisness.
King Kai is a master of martial arts and is generally regarded as one of the greatest teachers in the universe. He has often helped the Z warrios learn new fighting techniques. Because he lives on a distant planets on the end of snake way, only the luckiest warriers has been able to benifit from his teachings. King Kai's planet may be small, but it's gravity is ten times that of Earth's - perfect for the martial arts training. Although he is best known as an instructor, King Kai has gained some notoriety for his corny sense of humor and love of bad puns. King Kai's pets - a monkey named Bubbles and a grasshopper named Gregory - often aid him in his rather unusal training practices.
Trunks is the son of Bulma and Vegeta. Trunks is a visitor from a very dark future, Goku contracts a fatel heart disease just when Earth needs to be saved ffrom a terrible fate. Trunks time travels to prevent this tradegy, but is drawn into battle before he can warn Goku. Turning Supper Saiyan, Trunks defeats Frieza, and then crushes King Cold. Proving that he is one of the most powerful fighters in the universe, Trunks explains Eath's danger and administers Goku's medicine. Having accomplished his mission, Trunks returns to the future. Trunks later returns to help the Z warriors battle the androids.
Evil scientist Dr. Gero created the Androids for his own nefarious purposes. in attemt to defeat the Z warriers and destroy the Earth, Dr. Gero even goes so far as to turn himself into an Android.
Android 16: Big and powerful, Android 16 perfers to let his muscles do the talking for him. Android 16 joins 18 in the fight against Cell.
Android 17: Android 17 is a dark-haired youth with a major attitude problem. He later contributes to the threat against Earth that forces Trunks to travel back in time.
Android 18: Android 17's "sister," the beautiful Androis 18 has a real mean streak, but she does help out heros against the power-hungry Cell.
Android 19: The first Androis to arrive on Earth, Android 19 is a clever, overweight warrior with a love for exotic weapons.
Android 20: In an attemt to be more powerful than ever, Dr. Gero commands Android 19 to turn him into Android 20. As an Android, Dr. Gero lets nothing get in his way.
Dr. Gero's most dangerous creation -- perhaps even more powerful than the Androids combined -- is the genetic nightmare known as Cell.
Cell is Dr. Gero's finest creation and the deadliest android of them all. Cell's biology contains DNA from many of the universes mightiest warriors, including Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo. As a result of Cell's composite DNA, his fighting skills surpass those of Earth's greatest warriors, and he is able to use their signature attacks as well. In other words, Cell is invincable. In addition, Cell can use his tail to absorb the energy and powers of his opponents. When Cell first appears, he is in his most imperfeact form, and his body resembles that of a giant lizard. However, after absorbing a few victims, Cell transforms into Cell Stage Two, and finally, into Perfect Cell. But don't let Perfect Cell's handsome face fool you. Every stage of Cell's metamorphisis is more dangerous than the last. When Cell finally achieves his perfect form, he challenges the warriors of Earth to a great battlr tournament he calls The Cell Games. Who will be the victor?
Garlic Juniors evil is sdisproportionate to his size. An elfish creature of puny stature, Garlic has only one goal in mind: to become the ruler of Earth. This desire is in his genes. Garlic Junior's father, Garlic Senior, tried to steal the role of Earth's guardianfrom Kami ages ago. Fortunatly, Kami prevented this disaster from happening. When the young Garlic tries the same stunt, the Z Warriors are standing by to send this villain to prison in the Dead Zone. Garlic escapes with vegence on his mind and Black Water Mist in his hand, a develish toxin that turns heros into zombies. With his henchmen, the nefarious Spice Boys, Garlic once again tries to take over the Earth. Garlic Junior draws his strength from the Makyo star. Garlic becomes more dangerous as this star comes closer to Earth. At his most powerful, Garlic Junior is able to transform into a mosterous giant.
When a crew of evil henchmen isn't enough, when it's time to really wreak some havoc when one elite fighter just won't do...it's time to call on the Ginyu Force! In his mad quest foe the seven Namekian Dragon Balls, Frieza enlists the aid of the powerful Ginyu Force. After arriving on Namek, the 5 members of the Ginyu Force immediatly launch an attack on the Z Warriors. Each Ginyu warrior has his own unique powers, and each one has a different method of causing mayhem. They enjoy "striking a pose" during battle.
Captain Ginyu: The horned leader of the Ginyu Force is also the most powerful. He has the ability to switch bodies with his opponents. Swapping bodies with Goku, Ginyu causes the Earth warriors and ambushes them. Captain Ginyu nearly defeats our heroes before he accidentaly switches bodies with a toad.
Burter: Despite being the largest member of the Ginyu Force, Burter is actuallu one of the fastest warriors alive. He can take his opponent out before they know what hits them. Burter is close friends with fellow Ginyu member Jeice, and when their attacks are combined they are nearly indestructable.
Recoome: Redheaded Recoome is a freight train of destruction. His strength is second only to Captain Ginyu's. Recoome relies on sheer muscle power in battle. He can take a lot of damage and knows how to dish it out, too.
Jeice: He is like a rock star, and he has the confidence to match is neither incredibly strong, like Recoome, nor incedibly fast, like Burter. Instead, he strikes deadly balance between the two.
Guldo: This strange four-eyed creature is the smallest and weakest member of the Ginyu Force. But what Guldo lacks in sheer brute force he makes up for in crafty mind tricks. He has the ability to read thoughts and can freeze time at will.
Nappa is the terrible Saiyan warrior that accompanies Vegeta to Earth in search of the seven Dragon Balls. As Vegeta calmy stands by, Nappa displays his great strength by swiftly defeating a number of Earth's greatest fighters. Possesing more brawn than brain, a fact that is evident in battle, he nonetheless does away with Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Tien and even the mighty Piccolo. When his brute force is simply not enough, Nappasolicitsthe help of the artifical plant warriors known as the Saibamen. Nappa is ultimatly defeated by Goku, which dissapoints Vegeta to such a great extent that he destroys Nappa on the spot.
Tien is one of Earth's greatest defenders and an important member of the Z Warriors fighting team. Tien met Goku many years ago, when he fought and defeated the young Saiyan in a martial arts tournament. Since then, Tien has become even stronger and joined the ranks of the greatest collection of warriors the Earth has ever known. Tien has three eyes and a unique fighting style. He is best friends with the diminutive Chiaotzu and would protect his comrades with his life if need be.
Many years ago, Yamcha was a desert bandit with an intense fear of girls. Goku first met Yamcha in the original Dragonball series, when the young Saiyan almost lost the Dragon Balls to Yamcha's thieving hands. Eventually, Yamcha joined the Z Warriors. He overcame his tendency to panic when around girls, and for a time he was together with Bulma. Yamcha is a powerful defender of the Earth and a strong supporter of Goku. He trained extensively with King Kai after his defeat at the hands of the Saibamen, and became a great warrior. Puar, the shape-shifting cat, is his beloved companion.
Well, thats all I can give you for now. Sorry the site isn't much yet, but sooner or later (probably later), I will get some games and quizes for you to try out and have fun. Sorry it's taking me so long, i'm kind of new at this, i'm still playing around with most of the things to see what they are and do, lol.
