             Papua New Guinea

Hi my name is Luis Sarabia and I’m here in Papua New Guinea. I am an actor and I came here to do a movie. The movie is about racing cars, I got here by airplane it took about 18 hours it cost me $1641.oo round trip. Papua New Guinea is an Island that is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and The Indian Ocean. China is 3,000 miles north of Papua New Guinea.
My meal in Papua New Guinea had sweet potato. Sweet potatoes are the country’s staple foods. Along the coast people add seafood and coconuts. Fish is the staple food of rural people. A meal in Papua New Guinea may have bats, eels and three kangaroos, sweet potato and fish.
As I was walking by the street on the morning a Papuan ask me “Yu orait?” (How are you?) And I answer “Na yu” (I’m fine. And you?) And I came back like 1:00pm and the same guy told me “A pinum?” (Good afternoon). The main language they speak is Melanesian and Papuan. More than 4.9 millions live here in Papuan New Guinea with 85% living in rural areas.
Papuans have many gestures, For example, one might answer the question “Where are you going?” by slightly the lifting the head, raising the eyebrows, and moving the eye direction planned. The Papuans holidays are “New years Day (1jan), Queen Elizabeth II Birthday (First Monday in June), and Independence Day (16 sept), Christmas, and Boxing day (26 Dec).
The type of Government that they have is parliamentary democracy. That means a government with representatives from different parts of the country. If you want to vote you should be 28 years old.
The Religions that Papuans practice is mainly Christianity and some people practice Black magic. Christianity is the religion derived Jesus Christ, based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic, and Protestant Churches.
The fastest and easiest way to travel in Papua New Guinea is by boats. Villagers make use of their own boats ranging from traditional canoes, diesel-run, wooden boats or small dinghies with out board motors known as “Speediest” or “Bananas boats”.
Some people have regular employment in the formal sector. About three-quarters of subsistence farmers live in poverty they grow their own food and usually a small cash crop like coffee. Copra, coffee, palm oil, cocoa, tea, and coconuts are the principal agricultural products of the subsistence farmers. The country GNP is $1,120, the amount each person makes per year.
