IMPORTANT TIME CHANGE - Mrs. Whitley's Gingerbread Christmas Party time has been changed to 12:00 on Thursday, December 17th. We should wrap up by 1:30. I hope that EVERY student in my room is able to have a parent or grandparent attend to help us with this fun activity.
Thanks for signing up to help with the "Gingerbread House Christmas Party" supplies. If you signed up to bring an item, please send it to school no later than Tuesday, December 15th. That will give me time to get additional supplies if we don't have enough. Thanks!!!
This week we will assess and review letters, sounds and sight words that we've covered thus far. We will complete a Unit of Study on Gingerbread Stories including "The Gingerbread Baby", and various "Gingerbread Boy" stories and poems. We'll compare and contrast the sequence of events, characters, and setting of each story.
In math we will review the coins, penny, nickel, dime and quarter and the worth of each. We will use dot cubes to identify numerals and match numbers with sets of objects, we will weigh objects and add sets of numbers.
Wednesday, December 16th will be our Polar Express Party. Students are encouraged to wear warm Pajamas or Jogging sets to school on this day. We will "board" the Polar Express that afternoon for a fun time of learning!
