Course Description
We will be reading, writing, spelling, and learning grammar skills and vocabulary.
We will study American history from 1865 to present.
Class Expectations
All students will come to class with a positive attitude and be prepared to learn. Students will have all the necessary materials and books. All students will use a Time Tracker.

Language Arts
We are learning root words, prefixes and suffixes, context clues and how to read for comprehension. Spelling words are presented at the beginning of the week and used as new vocabulary in addition to correct spelling. No spelling test this week.
History - Sixth grade students study American History from 1865 to present. Students have study guides in their History binders. Knowledge of unit vocabulary is essential. Glossary resources of vocabulary words for each unit have been provided to every student. PLEASE review and know vocabulary for every unit. We will have a test on WWII, part 1, on Tuesday, April 14th.
