2008 NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL Monitor Grades All parents, especially those of seniors, are encouraged to monitor grades on a weekly basis as the school year ends. Book Buy Back Please insist that your student return books for credit at the end of this school year. Checks will be issued to parents of seniors and credits will be issued for underclassmen. Current Registration All students and parents are encouraged to review classes selected for the 2012/2013 school year online. Contact the counselor if yu wish to make any changes before June 1. AP Exams Check the school calendar for a listing of dates and times for AP exams. All students enrolled in an AP Class are required to take the exam for that class. QUIA Pages Please check the QUIA pages of your student's teachers for class syllabi, expectations, etc. Grades Online All teachers update grades on a regulart basis. Please plan to review your student's grades weekly to monitor their progress. Teachers will update grades frequently on the WEB. Please understand that teachers need a reasonable amount of time to correct and then post grades. If you have concerns about your student's performance in a class, please contact the teacher via email or by phone. If your student's performance in a number of classes is not meeting your expectations, please contact your student's counselor. Teacher WEB Pages Every Monday, by 3:00 PM, teachers post their assignments/ tests on their WEB page. When your student is ill, I encourage you to have your student check for work they may be missing. Teachers often have practice exercises posted on the WEB to improve student skills. Transfer Students Application forms are available online, under Prospective Students on the school's main web page, for transfer students These forms should be completed and mailed to Mrs. Manno, Principal. Two forms in the packet should be submitted to the student's current school. Applications are available online and must be submitted by August 1, 2012 in order to be considered for the 2012-2013 school year. International Students International students applying to Saint Viator High School must take the TOEFL Junior, SLEP or SSAT test and submit scores to Saint Viator High School along with a completed application. Applications are available online and must be submitted by June 1, 2012 for consideration for the 2012-2013 school year.
