Welcome to Oceanography. This class will benefit students who wish to pursue marine science as a major in college and those who just like the ocean and want to know more about how it relates to us on a day-to-day basis. There is a lot of reading required for this class. We are going to be going at a very fast pace, so it is crucial that you have read chapters prior to coming to class. There won't be a lot of daily written work to give you more time for the readings.
This site provides information on assignments for the class, note templates, scoring rubrics, schedules, interesting links, and some Quia activities created by other teachers that are good for review. Please check this site regularly for information that you may have missed during class. If you are absent from class, ask someone what you missed as well as checking this site.
If you have any questions about the material, what is expected, or just have deeper questions than what we covered in class, please feel free to ask me or see some of the website links below.
