Welcome to the debut of MATHMIND, the Shiloh Middle School Math Problem Solving Website!!
MATHMIND CURRENT CREDIT TOTALS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! COME TO MR DUMLER'S ROOM TO VIEW YOUR TOTAL.

Each week we will be offering 4 different word problems to be solved. Two of the word problems will be of moderate difficulty, questions appropriate for 6th and 7th graders, The second two questions will be more difficult; these will be directed to 7th and 8th grade students.

Interested students will enter an appropriate solution and explanation for any question in their indicated difficulty range. All responses are to be graded by Shiloh math staff. Correct, complete responses will earn that student credit in their account. New questions will be posted twenty-five times before April 2002 offering fifty unique problems for each level. Any student accumulating 36 correct, complete responses will be designated an "Official Shiloh MathMind" and will be invited to the 1st Annual Shiloh Mathmind Pizza Party to be held in early May 2001. A special grand prize will be awarded to the student who accumulates the most "mathmind merit points". More than that, all individuals will earn the respect and admiration of the mathmind staff ( a pricless offering)

Check each Monday for a new set of problems. Each week the problems will displayed twice, once as a quiz and again as a "quiz session".  To view the problems, click on the quiz. This format does not require a response. After you have studied the problem and developed a response for your questions, click on "click here" on the quiz session format.
You will be asked to type in your name. Use your first name, last initial and your student number. When your are in the session, type your solutions in the appropriate spaces and submit answers. We will only accept one set of submissions per student, so be sure before you finish!!

10) For students interested in participating who do not have computer access, printed copies of the problems will be available in Mr Dumler's room during the entire week the problems are active. All hard copy responses are due back to Mr Dumler's room by start of day the following Monday.
