My email: emcconnell@medfield.mec.edu Hi! This webpage is designed to give you any reminders and information that I think you might need for my class. I will remind you of due dates for long range assignments and give you any hints that I think might help you to be more successful in my class this year. The smaller, daily assignments are not always included on this page. You should, therefore, copy assignments into your agenda daily. I have also created games that will help with vocabulary review and grammar. So, try them.

You will find some helpful links, too. Some are directly related to topics we will study this year; others offer good English background information. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for my page.

Extra Help - I am available for extra help every day after school with the exception of Monday. If there is no teacher meeting on Monday, I am also available then; but ask me ahead of time. It is also a good idea to mention during class that you are staying. You can arrange to meet before school as needed.

Week beginning February 13th- We will discuss the third part of Fahrenheit 451 and the book as a whole.

Homework for Monday- Period A - Read FYI sheet and write one summary sentence for each section, Periods D,E, F - Complete your individual product for the "Value of Literature" presentation.

LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENTS DUE

READING/WRITING LAB- Tuesday and Wednesday - Research twenty topics from your list for the Holocaust time line; Thursday and Friday - Research ten items for the Holocaust time line; Monday - Typed bibliography due.

Vocabulary Unit 10 due is Friday, February 17th.

Final test Fahrenheit begins Thursday, March 1 and continues into Friday for the open response.
