My name is Ms. McCroskey and I am very excited that you are enrolled in the agricultural business course. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. Degree in Agricultural Education and a M.S. Degree in Career and Technical Education. Growing up on a farm inspired me to choose a career within the agricultural industry. It is my goal to share my passion about agriculture with you and inspire you to become involved in the industry, learn new things, and hopefully choose a career in this field. I hope you learn a lot and enjoy the class!
Wherever possible, students participate in cooperative on-the-job training programs with local agricultural businesses. The curriculum emphasizes off-farm agricultural occupations, business procedures, merchandising, marketing, and agricultural business management. Instruction is provided in agricultural product knowledge, agricultural mechanics, plant science, and leadership development.
