1. Take the QUIA quiz at #29 to practice before a small quiz tomorrow on forming the present progressive.
2. You will get all your papers back tomorrow to review before quiz!!!
3. Then we will go into the lab for the oral part of the final exam. I recommend that you go to VHL and listen to the vocabulary flashcards for chapters 3 and 4 under TUTORIALS. Then I suggest that you look at the pictures above the CONTEXTOS PRACTICE.

1. Please go to VHL and listen again to the video in Lección 5 under TUTORIALS at 5.3 on ser and estar. If you haven't already done the practices on VHL go ahead and do them and I will override the late grade. Also take the QUIA #2 quiz at QUIA #28. This Thursday will be a second quiz on these two verbs so use corrected work to review!!!!

1. Friday is the Chapter 4 test. To do well review all your worksheets on the stem-changing verbs (and the verbs with the irregular yo form). Also use the corrected quizzes. There will also be the verb ir (to go) and the preposition de + definite article.
2. Review all the flashcards under TUTORIALS as you need to know the vocabulary of the chapter to understand the readings.
3. To review go to VHL and do the Recapitulacón for Lección 4 on line. Use your corrected pink sheets which we did in class. It is the same thing!!!!!
4. Also do the Prueba de práctica - which is an excellent pre-test.

1. Use the de or de + definite article activity sheet we did in class today to help you do the QUIA QUIZ at #24.
2. If you did not finish the activities for the FOTONOVELA ¡Vamos al parque! on VHL you can do so this weekend.
3. Tuesday will be a small quiz on de + the definite article and some time toward the end of next week will be the BIG chapter 4 test. You might want to start reviewing using the flashcards under TUTORIALS on VHL.

1. Go to VHL and under PRACTICE look first at the vocabulary for FLASH CULTURE on Soccer in Spain. (el fútbol en España.) Watch the video - it's very interesting- and use the subtitles to help. When you are finished do the indicated exercises.

Monday is the 1st test for Chapter 4 - FOLLOW the outline from yesterday.
MONDAY will be a small test on what you have learned so far in chapter 4.
1.To do well you need to review the vocabulary on PASATIEMPOS (past times), DEPORTES (sports) and LUGARES (places). For the Listening Comprehension you will hear people describe what they are doing and you will read a list pf places where those activities take place. From the list that you SEE you will select the letter of the logical place and write it on the line provided. You will SEE some pictures and you will hear a description and you will circle the letter of the apprpriate description.
2.You will see in a BANK some of the vocabulary words and you will put them into the appropriate category. For example if you saw el jugador you would write that word under PERSONAS because a jugador is a player and a player is a person.
3. You will match a written activity with a place.
4. Review the verb to go IR and the preposition a + the appropriate form with the definite article. For example you might see: a. Nosotros_______ _______ laboratorio de lenguas extranjeras.
You will write in
Nosotros vamos al laboratorio de lenguas extranjeras.
5. You will see a bank of the e--> ie and the o-->ue BOOT verbs and you will complete sentences with the correct verb written in the correct form.
6. You will write 2 sentences to describe 2 pictures and you will answer to questions about what you like to do in your free time or what you are going to do this summer.>BR> 7. There will be 1 reading passage and you will answer questions in ENGLISH about what you have read.
WE SHALL REVIEW THIS TOMORROW after I return your quizzes.

1. To get ready for Thursday's quiz on the o-->ue (or u-->ue) BOOT - stem-changing verb quiz go to VHL and listen to the second half of the tutorial. Then do the 3 indicated VHL activities BUT NOTE that all the BOOT VERBS (the e-->ie and the o-->ue or u-->ue) are used.
2, Now do the QUIA QUIZ at #19. Remember to use your blue boot sheets and corrected in-class homework sheet to help review for the quiz.

1. Monday is the quiz on the boot verbs e-->ie stem-changing verbs. You need to know what they mean, how to conjugate them and use them in answering simple questions. Use your corrected class activity sheet to review.
2. Now go to USEFUL LINKS and beginning with #12 start learning the basic weather expressions. Continue using USEFUL LINKS #7 and #8 to master this vocabulary!!!!!

To get ready for the quiz on IR (to go) after the vacation please do QUIA QUIZZES #12, #13 and #14. This is excellent practice on conjugating this irregular verb correctly and remembering a + the definite articles.
