Dates to Know AR Due Dates Nov. 16- Half (50%) due Dec. 21 - All AR due WELCOME TO SIXTH GRADE LITERATURE! I am very excited to have you in my class. We are going to be very busy this year. Each day you will need to bring your agenda, completed assignment, notebook, pencil, and AR book. The following is some important information about READING! The students will be given a new AR Testing Log each nine weeks. They use the log to record their AR test scores and the percent of goal they have earned. Then, every Tuesday, students will need to take their AR Testing Log home so that parents can sign them. In this way, parents will be informed of how well their child is doing and the percent of goal earned. The students read AR for at least 10 - 15 minutes every day in class. If a student uses his time wisely, then he/she should not have any trouble achieving their goal. Plus, students need to read 20 minutes each night. This is particularly important if the student has been absent or is behind in their AR goal points. Then, the rest of the class period is devoted to other reading materials and skills. Together - students, teachers, and parents can make this a successful year! Thank you!
